Roof Pod

The Standard Height Vehicle has a GRP customised moulding fitted which incorporates the lighting/lockers and provides additional internal height and storage.
 
Glazing
 
Existing rear door glazing panels are to be striped with double shadowlite glazing film (150mm Band Width x 25mm Clear).
Saloon glazing panels are to be provided in the following positions.
i)Nearside front
ii)Nearside centre
iii)Offside front
iv)Offside centre
All Lower rear windows are to be fitted with double shadowlite, self adhesive glazing film.

The vehicle headlamps are to be fitted with an electronic headlamp flasher unit.
The GRP roof moulding houses the front & rear and side lighting as detailed above.
An Alpha siren unit, complete with project-a-flex speaker is to be mounted within the confines of the offside front bumper moulding. Optional Beta Siren may be supplied by prior arrangement that offers PA function.
 
Saloon Linings
 
The internal sidewalls of the saloon are to be fully lined with GRP moulding , top trimmed in Ambla vinyl.
The roof Pod moulding is manufactured from GRP. The roof extension is reinforced with a Stainless steel tubular rollover cage.
The cavity between the body and the interior linings is to be fully insulated
The existing body structure will be reinforced to enable the fixture of any necessary equipment
All overhead locker panels finished using aluminium extrusions and wipe clean panels.
 
Saloon Floor
 
The floor of the patient’s compartment is to be manufactured from rice grain aluminium. The Attendant seat flooring is overlayed with a special moulding in GRP
All edges will be coved and fully sealed against water ingress.
 
External Steps
 
A rear step is fitted to allow easy access to the rear external locker.
The step treads are manufactured from aluminium Barleyseed pattern tread plate and powder coated high visibility yellow.

Heating & Ventilation
 
The patient’s compartment is heated by the use of an engine heat recirculation. A roof ventilator is fitted to the forward section of the rear roof locker for air circulation.
 
Seating
 
A 450mm single seat is provided in the patient compartment on the offside:
i.)Lap & diagonal seatbelt
ii.)Headrest
iii.)Trimmed in Ambla textile to complement the saloon.
 
Stretcher Trolley

A Ferno stretcher is provided to the patient compartment, on the nearside using crash stable locking device.
Saloon Lighting
 
The patient’s compartment is illuminated using 2 off AL120 fluorescent lamps. These can be operated from both the cab or saloon and have 50% dim facility. They are fitted with opal diffusers and are semi-recessed into the saloon headlining panel.
A trauma lamp is mounted on the centre line of the headlining panel, adjacent to the stretcher.
A downlighter over the patient head is also fitted.
 
Oxygen
 
An outlet oxygen point is to be provided to the nearside of the vehicle.
The pipeline is to be supplied with oxygen regulator, “dial it” flowmeter, cylinder key and test certificate.
Secure anchorage for a single “F” size oxygen cylinder is provided to the nearside of the patient area.
Storage for 2off “D” sized oxygen cylinders is provided within the nearside locker.
 
Cantrail Locker
 
Front and rear cantrail lockers are provided with polycarbonate sliding doors. It is manufactured using aluminium extrusions and laminated plywood.
A bump pad is fitted to the underside of the locker, trimmed in Ambla textile to complement the saloon.
An external locker is provided accessible from rear step. Door is assisted with gas struts.
 
Rear Lockers

A slide-out locker is situated to the offside of the patient’s compartment. It is manufactured in steel with 2 drawers and a lift up door.
Location for secure storage for a scoop stretcher is provided in the slide housing.
Location is provided on top of the nearside locker for stowage of the free issue suction unit.
 
Auxiliary Equipment

A 400mm length of IV rail is fitted to the roof lining, above the stretcher. It is supplied with a double bottle holder hook assembly.
Two 0.5litre flasks are supplied and fitted in the area
A 2.0litre A.F.F.F. fire extinguisher is fitted in the vehicle
 
Electrical Installation

12volt jack sockets are supplied and fitted in the following areas:
i.)To the offside front off the patient’s compartment, adjacent the suction unit.
ii.)To the offside rear of the patients compartment, inside the rear doors
iii.)To the nearside of the dashboard console
 
Twin incubator terminals with LED indicator bulbs are located to the offside of the vehicle.
A 5amp, 3pin socket is provided to the nearside front of the saloon.
A 15amp, 3pin socket is provided to the nearside front of the saloon.
Two Maglites are fitted to the rear and passenger door. These maybe substituted by ONE rechargeable torch to the rear of the small oxygen bottle cupboard.
All non-base vehicle electrical circuits are controlled via a micro processor based system. This is programmed to the exact requirements of the customer. The system includes 12 intelligent outputs, fault diagnosis, engine security and voltage detection. The master switch panel is located centrally on the dashboard. It is within easy reach of both the attendant and the driver and is back lit. The secondary switch panel is located in the roof housing.
An all lead, emergency start battery / split charge and solenoid circuit is provided for use in the event that the primary battery is totally discharged. This may be upgraded using the second main battery offered as an option by Nissan.
Two service radio aerials are supplied and fitted to the vehicle roof, both of which terminate at the rear of the dashboard. Removable access panels are fitted to allow routine maintenance. Ground planes are bonded into the GRP Roof Moulding.
A 200Amp, marine grade, remote on / off isolator is fitted within the engine bay for the isolation of all electrical circuits, except for service radio feeds, heater and incubator circuits. A secondary key switch will isolate the previous mentioned remaining circuits.
 
External Livery

The rear doors will have chevrons of alternating 3M fluorescent yellow and 3M diamond grade red, below the window line.
Side decals and bonnet striping and Client text can be supplied and fitted in accordance with the customer’s requirements once art work is provided. (Note this item is not included in the base vehicle price.)
All vehicles are supplied with a user manual and on site training.
